Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial and intellectual property matters, including supply, distribution, licensing, and service agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on intellectual property protection, licensing, and portfolio management in corporate and commercial transactions.
• Facilitate technology transfers, R&D agreements, and partnerships for innovation.
• Collaborate with and support more junior team members, providing supervision and mentorship as required.
• Develop and foster strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
• Play an active role in business development and marketing initiatives, including attending seminars, networking events, and presenting workshops.
• Work in a collegiate and collaborative manner within the team and across the firm.

Requirements:

• A qualified Solicitor with 2+ PQE and strong experience in commercial and intellectual property law.
• Ability to work autonomously while receiving support from a highly experienced team.
• Strong drafting, file management, and client relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients (both oral and written communication).
• Strong organisational skills, technological proficiency, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Desirable:

• Proven track record in marketing and business development or a keen interest in leading BD initiatives.
• Prior experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Additional qualifications in intellectual property law or membership in relevant professional bodies.
