Senior Associate - Commercial & Intellectual Property (2+ PQE) - National Law Firm in London

This role provides the opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial and intellectual property matters, particularly within corporate and commercial transactions, strategic collaborations, and services agreements. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of commercial and intellectual property matters, including supply, distribution, licensing, and service agreements.
- Provide strategic advice on intellectual property protection, licensing, and portfolio management in corporate and commercial transactions.
- Facilitate technology transfers, R&D agreements, and partnerships for innovation.
- Collaborate with and support more junior team members, providing supervision and mentorship as required.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Play an active role in business development and marketing initiatives, including attending seminars, networking events, and presenting workshops.
- Work in a collegiate and collaborative manner within the team and across the firm.
Requirements:
- A qualified Solicitor with 2+ PQE and strong experience in commercial and intellectual property law.
- Ability to work autonomously while receiving support from a highly experienced team.
- Strong drafting, file management, and client relationship-building skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients (both oral and written communication).
- Strong organisational skills, technological proficiency, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Desirable:
- Proven track record in marketing and business development or a keen interest in leading BD initiatives.
- Prior experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
- Additional qualifications in intellectual property law or membership in relevant professional bodies.
