They are currently seeking an Associate to join their Policyholder Disputes team in London, reporting directly to the Partner and Head of Department.

The Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an Associate (minimum of 3 years PQE) to become part of their renowned Policyholder Disputes team. You will represent policyholders in significant insurance disputes, with responsibilities ranging from litigation and arbitration to ADR, and will be involved in some of the most cutting-edge and enterprise-critical claims in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling complex, high-value disputes with insurers across various sectors including property, energy, and financial lines.
  • Conducting litigation, arbitration, and ADR proceedings.
  • Drafting reports, letters of advice, and legal documents, and instructing experts and Counsel.
  • Managing client relationships and providing strategic advice at all stages of the dispute.
  • Developing business and contributing to the growth of the practice.
  • Providing leadership through delegation, feedback, and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Participating in business development initiatives, networking, and contributing to the firm's marketing and media presence.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years PQE with experience in handling commercial coverage disputes (policyholder or insurer-side).
  • Strong strategic thinking and technical excellence in dispute resolution.
  • Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and growth.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting and collaborating with the wider team.
