The role

The firm is seeking to hire a Commercial Litigation Partner into their City office, close to Liverpool Street station, London.

• The Commercial Litigation team consists of five, a Partner and 3 associates, and a paralegal. The department deals with a broad palette of work across a number of industry sectors which includes; Retail, Media, Banking, Industrial, Hotels and leisure and services.
• The department deals with clients ranging from SME, to national businesses, to HNW individuals and well-known individuals. The variety of clients and caseload will make for an interesting role.
• The current Commercial Litigation Partner and Head of Department is seeking another partner to come into the department, there is currently a lot of good quality and somewhat complex work coming into the department which is stretching the partner thin. You will work with the partner to drive the department forwards, you will assist run with cases, whilst also playing an active role in the training, develop and mentoring of the more junior members of the team.
• This could prove to be the perfect role for an experienced and ambitious senior associate seeking a springboard into a partnership role.
• The caseload will include but not be limited to; Professional negligence, Insolvency, Shareholder disputes, Contract disputes, Defamation, Director's disqualification proceedings, HMRC enquiries, Seizure orders as well as copyright and trademark infringements.
• You should be an ambitious candidate that relishes in the challenge of being at the forefront of building and developing a commercial litigation department
• You will be a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE + (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
• Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your background
