The Role

You will ensure the Practice's accounting and financial systems are followed for the pursuit and payment of bills.
More specifically:

  • Regular contact with clients to ensure proper management of debts to maintain our good cashflow, evaluate credit status of debts, identify and manage risk and escalate when necessary, negotiate payment and payment plans with clients which fall within our firms policy.
  • Handle queries and issues from both clients and staff delivering prompt responses and follow ups. Collaboration with lawyers to discuss appropriate terms and conditions for debt repayment.
  • Assist in managing credit control email inbox, processing card payments, dealing with daily payments that are paid into our bank accounts and processing requisition slips for these, distributing reports across the firm.
  • Provide induction training on Credit Control compliance with standard polices and regulations.
  • Any other duties that may be required.


The Candidate

You will be an experienced credit controller with

  • Good communication skills
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Team player attitude but also have the ability to work alone, prioritise and manage allocated clients for chasing and follow ups under a deadline.
