The Role
Due to ongoing expansion, the Housing Management team is looking to add another Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join their Birmingham City Centre office.
Housing is one of the firm's core markets and focus area for growth. The Housing Management team operates as one team with Solicitors based across the country. They advise a considerable number of registered providers, ranging from many of the top ten largest providers in the country at one end of the spectrum to smaller, specialist providers at the other and everything in between.
Whilst the majority of our work is for housing associations, they also increasingly provide housing management services to a range of other types of organisation including local authorities, care providers, the NHS, universities, charities, and private landlords.
You will enjoy a mixed case load, advising social landlords (and other landlords) on a wide range of housing management issues, including:
- Possession claims
- Injunction claims
- Cases involving the Equality Act 2010 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Breach of tenancy claims
- Disrepair
- Access injunctions for gas and electricity safety
- Failed succession cases
- Leasehold management advice
- Service charge disputes
The Candidate
- You will be a Housing Management Solicitor 2 years + PQE
- This is a friendly team that has a lovely culture; you will work well within a team and have excellent client skills
