The role

The firm are seeking to hire an Intellectual Property / Trademark Associate to join their growing office based in the heart of the West End of London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Intellectual Property / Trademark Associate to join a firm at the forefront of media, entertainment, and technology law. The IP department is currently 11-strong.

Work will include.

• Provide expert advice on intellectual property rights, with a focus on brand protection.
• Advise on trademark and design availability, registration, and protection strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive searches to assess trademark and design availability and identify potential conflicts.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of trademark and design applications, both domestically and internationally.
• Manage and protect clients' intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
• Draft and review legal documents related to trademark registration, licensing, and enforcement.
• Represent clients in negotiations and proceedings before trademark offices and courts when necessary.
• Advise on the legal aspects of marketing new products and services, including brand development and protection.
• Maintain a strong understanding of copyright law and its application.
• Ensure compliance with trademark laws and manage trademark renewals.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior team members and paralegals.
• Engage in marketing and business development activities to support team growth and personal business objectives.

You will be a Trademark / Intellectual Property Solicitor with between 4-8 years PQE

Salary is competitive and dependent on your background and experience.
