About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Planning Associate to join this leading UK law firm. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' post-qualification experience in planning law and will play a key role in managing complex planning and infrastructure matters. As a Planning Associate, you will be involved in high-value projects across various sectors, including large-scale urban developments and transformative infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced legal experts, you will provide strategic advice on a wide range of planning issues, from Section 106 agreements to planning appeals, with a focus on achieving practical, client-centric outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advisory & Drafting: Deliver strategic, clear, and commercially focused advice on complex planning matters, including negotiating planning agreements, Section 106 agreements, and handling planning appeals.
  • Project Management: Take a hands-on approach in supporting large-scale projects, ranging from residential developments to significant infrastructure and regeneration schemes.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, offering solutions-oriented advice that aligns with their commercial and legal objectives.
  • Innovation & Technology: Utilize legal technology to improve efficiency, enhance service delivery, and streamline workflows. This firm values a tech-savvy approach to legal practice and is keen to leverage innovative tools.

About You

  • Experienced Planner: You will have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in planning law from a reputable UK law firm.
