Their renowned Procurement Disputes team is seeking a Senior / Principal Associate (6+ PQE) to join their dynamic and growing Birmingham team.

The Role

Working with this Legal 500-ranked Procurement Disputes team, you will gain exposure to an exciting, complex and often politically sensitive procurement workload with a diverse range of clients.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with a number of the largest public sector bodies, as well as leading suppliers.

You will be advising both procuring entities and suppliers on the merits of claims arising out of breach of the public procurement regulations to include claims arising out of alleged lack of transparency, equal treatment and/or manifest error.

You will engage clients in the early stages of a potential dispute, to representing clients in dispute resolution processes whether through the High Court, arbitration and other tribunals, mediation, and other ADR processes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Is an ambitious Senior/ Principal Associate with 6+ PQE in Procurement Disputes and / or Commercial Litigation
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied litigated workload efficiently
  • Experience of Advising both procuring entities and suppliers on the merits of claims arising out of breach of the public procurement regulations to include claims arising out of alleged lack of transparency, equal treatment and/or manifest error.
  • Advising clients on how to best to conduct evaluation and/or moderation processes together with advising clients on how to draft suitable standstill/de-brief letters.
