The role

The firm is seeking to hire a Property Litigation Partner into their City office, close to Liverpool Street station, London.

  • The Property Litigation team currently consists of a team of four, a Partner, two solicitors and a secretary. The team deals with both residential and commercial properties. The department is currently busy due to an uptick across the board in terms of instructions.
  • The current partner is nearing closer to retirement and the firm are currently succession planning. The view is this new hire would hopefully in turn take over from the existing partner, whilst also inheriting work and clients. The transition period would be between 18-24 months.
  • You will be at the forefront of this department, and whilst ensuring a smooth transition, you will in time be responsible for the running of the department, you will work with the wider partnership to drive the department into the future.
  • This could prove to be the perfect role for an experienced and ambitious senior associate seeking a springboard into a partnership role.
  • The caseload will include but not be limited to; Dilapidations, boundary disputes, service charge disputes, landlord and tenant disputes & planning disputes.
  • You should be an ambitious candidate that relishes in the challenge of being at the forefront of building and developing this property litigation department
  • You will be a Property Litigation Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE + (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your background
