Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor / Legal Executive - Bristol

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Conveyancer to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Bristol. The firm is committed to providing intelligent, efficient, and client-focused legal services while offering a supportive and collaborative environment to help their team grow professionally.

The Role

This position involves handling a variety of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages, while being supported by a Paralegal and Legal Secretary. The firm values high-quality service over high-volume transactions and does not operate a 'high volume' business model.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the team, contributing to both fee-earning work and marketing/business development activities. The firm has strong connections with local estate agents, and networking and relationship-building are key elements of this role.
You will be involved in:

• Interviewing clients, taking instructions, and keeping detailed file notes
• Maintaining and reviewing file checklists and compliance documentation
• Raising enquiries, issuing client care letters, and drafting contract packages
• Acting for mortgage lenders and conducting exchanges of contracts
• Advising clients on progress and costs
• Ensuring all documents are drafted correctly and providing undertakings in conveyancing matters
• Participating in marketing activities, including firm-wide, departmental, and office events
• Accounts procedures, including preparing bills of costs and completion statements

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of PQE (although there is no upper limit on PQE) and a proven track record in residential property law. Previous experience within the Bristol property market is preferable, along with excellent technical skills and a client-focused approach.

You should also possess:

• Enthusiasm for business development and marketing, particularly through networking and social media
• Excellent IT and literacy skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to build strong relationships
• A proactive, organised approach and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
