The Role
You will report directly to the head of the company's Intellectual Property Law Department and will
work closely with internal clients and inventors in support of the company's various technologies and scientific disciplines.
You will be required to manage outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, patent portfolio management, counselling clients, providing IP education to clients on various IP-related topics and provide legal advice in the areas of patent portfolio strategies.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to draft and negotiate research and development agreements and IP licenses.
Requirements
- 10+ PQE US, Canada or Europe (Including UK) for a strong law firm or international corporation
- Experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications and familiarity with the Patent Cooperation Treaty
