Culture From The Top

🛞 Who drives a law firm’s company culture?

Spoiler alert: it's set by the leadership. The tone at the top significantly shapes a firm's work environment. They're the architects of the firm’s culture. Sir Richard Branson says, "Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to."

A positive, inclusive culture, driven from the top, can lead to higher job satisfaction, better client relationships, and lower turnover rates. A study by Deloitte showed that 82% of employees think that a positive company culture can be a competitive advantage.

But what happens when the boss doesn't buy into the culture being sold? When the leadership fails to model the culture they advertise, it sows distrust, leads to disengaged employees, and undermines any effort to build a cohesive, motivated team.

According to SHRM, 58% of employees who quit a job because of workplace culture cite their manager as the primary reason.

Today’s graduates are looking for a supportive, dynamic, and values-driven workplace that promotes well-being, diversity, and continuous learning.
